ABOUT THE RODENTRY

Blip in Time Rodentry was born from a desire to work with and better both domestic mice and rats, after owning them as pets for many years.

I got my start in small exotics over two decades ago, as a child who received a single white rat after a poor experience with a hamster. Over the years, the knowledge and information on care for rats and mice dramatically improved and with it so did the number of people keeping them as companion animals.

For a number of years, I fostered rats and mice for various rescues and was blown away by the number of people giving up their pets due to poor temperament or a lack understanding of the work that would go into them. I wanted to help make a difference and focus my own interests in a concentrated way that benefited the animals and the community.

Thus my venture into the show world of mice began. Our mice are bred almost exclusively for exhibition, with an intent focus on the best examples of the species that we are able to produce. These animals are bred for their type, coat colour, and coat types. We are a proud member of the Fancy Mouse Breeder's Association!

The rats produced here at BIT are primarily bred for pets, with emphasis on temperament and health above all, and type and colour coming second.

We are a SMALL hobby breeder that do not always have animals available, but welcome all inquiries and interest.
